Illegal mining in Aravallis spotted, case registered

The Bhiwani police have registered a case of illegal mining and seized a machine being used in mining in the Dadam region of the Aravalli range in Bhiwani district.

The police said that they got a complaint from a Forest Department official and started investigation. Nobody has been identified as the accused.

According to information, a team of the Forest Department, during the patrolling of the forest area in the Aravallis on Sunday, noticed some persons mining in the forest notified zone.

The team comprising guard Ravinder Kumar and forest constables Mahender and Pradeep raided the spot. The 3-4 persons who were engaged in mining managed to flee from there. — TNS
