The Nuh Health Department has uncovered an illegal operation selling Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) kits online in the district. Following the investigation, an FIR was registered against a website linked to an address in Bihar at the Nuh City police station. However, no arrests have been made in the case so far.

According to police sources, the Health Department acted on a tip-off about a website named ‘Youngmart Offers WarisAliganj’ illegally selling MTP kits online. To verify the claim, the department set up a sting operation, posing as a fake customer and placing an online order for an MTP kit. A payment of Rs 475 was made through PhonePe and the order was confirmed via email on February 27. The confirmation message stated that the kit would be delivered via courier to Medical College Road near Jhanda Chowk in Nuh by March 5.

The Health Department team received the package and inspected its contents. Officials later confirmed that the MTP kit had been sent from a website registered under ‘Youngmart Aparts Waris Aliganj’ with an address in Nawada, Patna. The supplier was allegedly operating an illegal MTP kit distribution network in the district.

Based on the complaint of PCPNDT Nodal Officer and Deputy CMO Dr Ashish Singla, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS.

This incident follows the busting of two foetal sex determination rackets in Tauru town in the last two months. Earlier, concerns were raised regarding the Nuh Health Department’s slow response to such illegal activities. However, after health teams from other districts exposed the online sale of MTP kits and made arrests, the Nuh Health Department initiated its own action, leading to the current crackdown.

Officials have stated that further investigations are underway to trace those involved in this illegal medical supply chain.
