The Gurugram Police on Thursday busted a manufacturing unit of illicit liquor in Rathiwas village and arrested four accused.
The police have recovered about 3,250 litres of spurious liquor, 225 cardboard boxes, 9,200 empty liquor bottles, 620 caps, 75,000 fake labels, one sealing machine and one measuring instrument were recovered from the spot.
According to the police, the arrested accused were identified as Anup, Sarabjit, Sonu Rathor and Lokesh.
It was on Thursday morning when a team of Manesar crime unit, led by sub inspector Lalit Kumar, conducted a raid at the place in Rathiwas village where the manufacturing unit of illicit liquor was being run. The police team arrested the accused when they were making and packing the liquor.
“The arrested accused used to make illicit liquor by setting up a furnace in the morning so that no one finds out, but after collecting information, Gurugram Police succeeded in busting the furnace,” a spokesperson of the Gurugram police said.
