In 6 months, Jhajjar police nab 14 wanted criminals
Jhajjar, July 20
Tightening the noose around criminals, the Jhajjar police have managed to nab 413 accused, including most wanted criminals, proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers, in the first half of the current year.
Jhajjar Commissioner of Police B Satheeh Balan said a special campaign was launched to nab criminals on January 1, and they were successful in arresting 14 most wanted, 122 proclaimed offenders and 291 bail jumpers in six months.
“Five of the most wanted criminals were carrying the reward of Rs 1 lakh or more. These are Aman Dahiya of Nilothi, Rahaul of Beri, Jasvir of Pelpa, Aashish of Laxmi Park and Sachin of Delhi. Nine others, carrying reward of over Rs 5,000, included Veerpal, Sukhpal and Amar Singh of Vijay Nagla (Uttar Pradesh), Shamsuddin of Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Aman of Khungai (Jhajjar), Dashrath of Madhya Pradesh, Akash of Farukkhabad (Uttar Pradesh), Rohit of Pakasma (Rohtak) and Rijwan of Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh),” said the Commissioner. He added that many of the proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers had been absconding for a long time, but various teams of the Jhajjar police nabbed them after conducting raids at their hideouts.
Balan said the police’s strategy against criminals was clear. “No one who indulges in any sort of crime to sabotage peace, harmony, law and order will be spared. The police personnel have toiled hard to achieve the desired results. The campaign to nab other criminals will continue,” he added.
