In Bhiwani, Baori gate sewerage needs permanent solution
Residents in several localities of the Baori gate area in Bhiwani have been suffering due to the clogged sewerage and contaminated drinking water supply.
The residents of the localities complained to Om Prakash, district secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), about the poor civic conditions who visited the area on Monday.
He assured the residents that he would take up the matter with the district authorities for finding a permanent solution to the issue. There is a need to set up drains for discharge of wastewater and rainwater connecting these to the main-road drain, to prevent the rainwater from entering the sewerage. Excessive waste water in sewer lines coupled with the blockage of the system has been resulting in the overflow of the sewerage,” alleged Anil Dabla, a resident.
The CPM leader said the Municipal Council and Public Health Engineering Department must work together to find a permanent solution to the clogged sewerage in the Baori gate area. Om Prakash urged the authorities for carrying out regular cleaning of the main road drain, cleaning of the 12-ft deep sewer line that was in place for years before the construction of Chandragiri School Road and the installation of a large pipe along the main road toward Bharat Nagar for proper drainage.
