India to become developed nation by 2047: Ex-Edu Minister

Former state Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on Thursday inaugurated a district-level exhibition at the Mini-Secretariat auditorium. At the event, he talked about the tenure of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.

The exhibition was organised by the Haryana Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture on the theme “Viksit Bharat ke Amrit Kaal”.

Gujjar said, under the leadership of PM Modi, India was steadily moving towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

He said every district in the state was now connected via highways, significantly saving time for commuters.

He said India had gained a unique global identity under PM Modi’s leadership, and praised the courage of the armed forces during the recently conducted Operation Sindoor, which, he said, had sent a strong message to Pakistan.

The former minister said PM Modi had made it clear that terrorism would not be tolerated under any circumstances. The abrogation of Article 370 and 35A had led to complete constitutional and national integration of Jammu and Kashmir, he said.

He highlighted India’s rise to the fourth-largest economy globally, and cited economic experts who predict that India would secure the third spot by 2027.

Speaking about sanitation, he claimed that every household now had a toilet, and, under the Ujjwala Yojana, eligible families had received LPG connections.

He said the Jal Jeevan Mission had ensured 100 per cent tap water supply in rural households.

He highlighted the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

He said women were empowerment through the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which reserved 33 per cent seats for women in the Parliament and state Assemblies.
