Indigenous fairs to be held for Haryana farmers: Shyam Singh Rana

State Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Shyam Singh Rana today announced the promotion of indigenous fairs in the state. In these fairs, the department will provide farmers with information on organic farming and new technologies. All departments will be involved in promoting indigenous products, which will play a crucial role in strengthening the country’s economy.

Speaking to the media, he said from September 17 to October 2, a "Sewa Pakwada" (service fortnight) will be observed under the leadership of CM Nayab Singh Saini. During this period, all MLAs and ministers would meet farmers to discuss preparations for rabi crops and address their issues.

Rana assured the farmers that the government was standing firmly with them and was committed to resolving their problems. He urged the farmers to upload details of their crop losses on the e-Kshatipurti portal by September 15 so that compensation could be provided quickly after verification.

Responding to queries, he said the CM had directed all DCs to provide every possible help to farmers in flood-affected areas.

About his recent visit to France and the Netherlands, Rana said he learned about new technologies and markets related to agricultural products, especially potato and flower farming.
