Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, organised an induction programme for newly admitted students (2025-26 academic session) on Thursday. The event was hosted by the Office of the Dean (Student Welfare). Educationist Shiv Kumar Chakravarti was the chief guest, while Vice-Chancellor Vijay Kumar presided over the event.
Addressing the students, Chakravarti highlighted the importance of discipline, hard work, and human values in student life. He urged students to go beyond acquiring degrees and contribute actively to society and nation-building. He exhorted students to set clear goals and pursue them with determination. The VC, in his address, welcomed the new students and said the university was committed to quality education, research, and holistic personality development. He said the university aimed to prepare not just educated individuals but also responsible citizens.
He exhorted students to be forward-thinking and adaptive, especially in the current era of information technology. “Today’s students must be technically sound and continuously upgrade their skills,” he said. Registrar Ashok Sharma exhorted students to make full use of available resources and explore their talents.
