INLD, its student wing send aid to flood-affected Fazilka
Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and its student wing Indian Students Organisation (ISO) have come forward to help people affected by floods in Punjab’s Fazilka district.
INLD’s district president Jasbir Singh Jassa flagged off two trucks of relief material from Dabwali today. The trucks are carrying food, clean water, animal medicines, feed and other essential supplies for the flood-affected people.
Speaking at the event, Jassa said INLD and ISO are fully committed to helping people during natural disasters like floods. He added that the relief work is being done under the guidance of INLD national president Abhay Singh Chautala and ISO national in-charge Arjun Singh Chautala.
The aid will be distributed in 15 to 20 villages in the flood-affected areas of Fazilka district. Many party leaders and local officials, including ISO district coordinator Ajay Chaudhary and Dabwali Municipal Council chairman Tek Chand Chhabra, were present on the occasion.
