INLD, JJP helping BJP, Deepender Hooda warns voters
Describing the BJP’s promises as a bundle of lies, Congress MP Deepender Hooda alleged that the saffron party had ridden to power on the basis of falsehood in 2014 and 2019.
Addressing a gathering at Chhatar village in Uchana in favour of Congress candidate Brijendra Singh, he alleged: “The BJP’s lies have been exposed now. The people of the state have understood that the BJP can be ousted only by voting for the Congress.... However, the INLD and the JJP have been trying to help out the BJP in an indirect way.” He said the people wanted to defeat the BJP in 2019 itself, but Dushyant Chautala and some Independents betrayed their voters and joined hands with the BJP.
Uchana is witnessing a tough contest as sitting MLA Dushyant is facing the Congress’ Brijendra Singh and the BJP’s Devender Atri. The entry of AAP’s Pawan Fauji and Independent Virender Ghogharia has made the contest ever more interesting.
SHO suspended for security breach
Karnal: Kaithal SP Rajesh Kalia has suspended Pundri SHO Ram Niwas following an alleged security breach during Deepender Hooda’s rally in Karoda village on Saturday. An inquiry has been initiated against the SHO. The breach occurred when people ran towards the aircraft as Deepender was about to board it.
