Inter-state youth exchange event at Kurukshetra Universitybegins today

Kurukshetra University is all set to host a three-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme from Wednesday.

As many as 600 students, including 283 girls and 317 boys from 20 states and 4 union territories, will showcase the cultural heritage of their respective states.

Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva unveiled the brochure for the Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme.

Designed to strengthen the spirit of national unity and cultural cohesion, the programme will bring together students from across the country to participate in shared learning experiences, cultural showcases, and intellectual dialogue.

While unveiling the brochure, Prof Sachdeva emphasised the transformative potential of such initiatives in fostering mutual understanding and a shared national identity among young citizens.

Sachdeva added that the university auditorium would host cultural performances, where participants would present traditional music, dance, and art forms representing their regional heritage, thereby embodying the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

The three-day programme will also feature lectures and interactive sessions with eminent scholars and public figures on themes such as national integration, cultural harmony and youth leadership in a diverse democracy.

Meanwhile, Director, Skill Development and Industrial Training, Haryana, Captain Manoj Kumar, along with Deputy Commissioner Kurukshetra Neha Singh and several other officials reviewed the arrangements made for the event.

Captain Manoj Kumar said that Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2025 was being organised in Kurukshetra from July 23 to July 25.
