Jhajjar: Interstate drug racket busted, 2 held with 202 kg ganja

Tightening the noose around drug traffickers, the district police claimed to have unearthed an inter-state racket with the seizure of 202 kg of ganja and the arrest of two persons.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Arpit Jain said the accused had been identified as Praveen and Shamsher of Bhainswal village in Sonepat district. A case under the NDPS Act had been registered against them.
“Acting on a tip-off, the Bahadurgarh CIA-II team led by Inspector Vivek Malik launched a vehicle checking operation on the KMP Expressway near Daboda Khurd village. A car bearing a Delhi registration number was stopped and 11 plastic bags containing ganja were found,” said the SP.
The accused have been taken on an eight-day remand. Their background was also being checked to find out their involvement, if any, in criminal activities in the past.
