The Jat Education Society, Rohtak, will introduce 10 new postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) courses at its All-India Jat Heroes Memorial College in the upcoming academic session. Additionally, a solar plant worth Rs 50 lakh will be installed at Chhotu Ram College.

Gulab Singh Dimana, president of the Jat Education Society, shared these details during a media interaction on Wednesday.

The new courses will include BA in psychology, sociology, and BPEd, MCA, MA in Hindi, political science, history and yoga, as well as M.Sc in zoology and data science. Moreover, Maharani Kishori Jat Girls College will introduce two new PG/UG courses.

Dimana said that several other initiatives are underway to boost academic activities within the society. These include a proposal to increase seats in both the three-year and five-year law programmes at Chhotu Ram Law College as well as the introduction of a three-month short-term course under the National Education Policy at Chhotu Ram B.Ed College.

Navdeep Singh, general secretary of the society, added that a proposal for the introduction of modern, employment-oriented courses like Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Maturam Institute of Engineering and Management had been submitted to AICTE for approval.

Furthermore, the society is working on infrastructure improvement. “A cricket stadium is being constructed at Jat College with international standards in mind. Renovations for the indoor stadium are in progress and a grant has been issued for the development of the basketball ground,” said Navdeep.
