In a precautionary move to ensure public safety and prevent any potential disruption by anti-social elements, a complete ban has been imposed on flying drones, gliders and paramotors in the Jhajjar zone.

As per orders, the restriction, enforced under Section 24 of the amended Drone Act (2022), is in effect from 7 pm on June 10 to 7 pm on June 11.

The area has been declared a temporary red zone for aerial vehicles.

Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Crime), has issued a directive in this regard, stating that the measure was essential to maintain law and order during the Chief Minister’s visit.

“All station heads, outpost in-charges and crime investigation teams in the district have been directed to stay vigilant and monitor any suspicious aerial or ground activity. Anyone found violating the ban will face strict legal action,” she added.

She said the use of drones was restricted for the general public; however, police personnel and government officials might operate drones under specific conditions for official duties. In such cases, they must wear uniforms to be easily identifiable, she noted.

To assess preparedness, Jhajjar Police Commissioner Rajshree Singh visited the event site and reviewed traffic and security arrangements.

She instructed officers to prevent traffic congestion, and ensure that no lapses occurred during the event.

“Remain alert and perform duties diligently. Keep a close watch on anti-social elements,” she instructed officials.

She appealed to the public to report suspicious persons or objects to the police immediately, and avoid spreading or believing in rumours.

“Cooperate with the police to maintain peace and order,” she urged residents.

Jhajjar DCP Logesh Kumar and several other police officers were present during the inspection. The police have set up checkpoints around the event area to ensure complete security.
