Jindal seeks urgent repairs, streetlights on NH 152-D
Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal has raised concerns over the absence of proper lighting and signage on National Highway 152-D, highlighting the risks posed to travellers due to poor visibility and lack of direction indicators.
In a letter to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Jindal has urged immediate action for the repair and installation of streetlights and signages at crucial points along the highway.
“There is an urgent need to repair existing streetlights at various locations on NH 152-D and install new ones where required,” Jindal said in his letter. He pointed out that the Pehowa-Kurukshetra Road near the Murtzapur exit in Kurukshetra, as well as the entry points from Ganghedi to Narnaul, lack adequate illumination and directional signs.
Due to these deficiencies, travelers — especially at night — often face confusion, increasing the risk of accidents and misdirected vehicles. “The absence of proper lighting and signage poses a serious safety hazard for commuters,” he added.
