JJP chief Ajay Chautala backs agri-tech awareness drive
Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) national president Ajay Chautala on Tuesday visited the two-day farmers’ fair on Tuesday and Wednesday at the new grain market in Sirsa. He interacted with the farmers and agri-entrepreneurs, sharing his insights on modern farming and the importance of technological advancement in agriculture. Chautala visited various stalls displaying the latest agricultural machinery and tools. He praised the efforts of the organisers and said such fairs played a key role in educating the farmers about new developments in the sector, helping them become economically stronger and more self-reliant.
The fair has attracted major agricultural companies from across the country, offering demonstrations and information about their products and services. The organisers Kultar Singh Pannu, Hardeep Singh Sandhu, Sahil Makkar, Jagdeep Singh Brar, Advocate Jaishwinder Singh Brar, Preetpal Singh Mangeana, Yatanjeet Saran, and Pawan Makkar said the primary aim of the event was to update farmers with the latest technology and connect them with innovations in the agriculture sector. Exhibitions at the fair include modern farming equipment, high-yield seeds, organic farming techniques, fertilisers, pesticides, and irrigation solutions. The farmers are also engaging directly with agricultural scientists and experts to find answers to their queries.
The event is expected to draw nearly one lakh farmers from across the state and is seen as a significant step towards making them more informed and self-sufficient. Adding to the attraction, artistes such as Hasan Manak, Zara Gill, Gurnam Bhullar, Gevi Virk, comedian Chachi Lutro, actor Gurmukh Ginny, and Sherry Uppal will provide entertainment.
