The JJP has complained to the Election Commission against four candidates for misusing their buses for conducting trips to certain religious places.

In its complaint, the party alleged that Balraj Kundu, Independent candidate from Meham, Subhash Ganguli, Congress candidate from Safidon, Dharam Singh Chhokar, Congress candidate from Samalkha and Ravinder Machrouli, Independent candidate from Samalka, were misusing buses owned by them to conduct religious tour to places such as Haridwar and Salasar Balaji. Besides, they were also providing transport facilities to students to educational institutions in Rohtak. This amounted to violation of model code of conduct, the complaint alleged.

Meham MLA put on notice

Rohtak: Returning Officer-cum-Meham SDM Dalbir Singh has issued a notice to outgoing MLA from Meham Balraj Kundu in connection with a complaint alleging the violation of model code of conduct by him. As per the notice, Kundu has been directed to provide a list of these buses and ensure the compliance of model code of conduct immediately.
