The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) has dissolved all its major units. In January 2025, at the start of the newyear, the party will begin the process of re-establishing its organisation and assign responsibilities to its dedicated members to strengthen the party.

In February, the JJP will launch a membership drive across the state to bring new members into the party.

These announcements were made by JJP national president Ajay Singh Chautala during the seventh foundation day celebration of the party held in Jind.

Ajay mentioned that this was the first meeting of JJP office-bearers after the state Assembly elections, during which significant suggestions were provided to make the organisation more effective and robust.

He said the JJP would review the reasons for its electoral defeat and had formed a five-member committee, led by the JJP state president, to investigate instances of betrayal by party officials and workers during the elections. The committee will submit its report within 15 days.

Ajay Chautala also criticised the poor policies of the BJP government, which, he said, had left the poor, farmers and labourers distressed. He added that the Congress had failed to fulfill its role as an effective opposition. In such a situation, the JJP would strongly voice the concerns of the common people, and the future would belong to the hard-working members of the party, he said.

Former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said JJP workers remained determined and would never shy away from hard work. He urged party workers to step forward with courage and contribute to strengthening the organisation. Dushyant added that during February’s membership drive, he would personally visit villages to engage with youth and women, encouraging them to join the JJP. He also said those who had left the party due to misleading opposition tactics during the elections now wish to return, and the party would welcome them back to move forward with strength.

He remarked that the same energy with which the JJP was established six years ago would now be directed towards giving the party new strength. He also criticised the Congress for its propaganda against the JJP during the elections, saying that the Congress was now in disarray, struggling even to appoint a Leader of the Opposition. He added that the Congress's situation was similarly dire in Maharashtra.
