JJP LEADER’S MURDER CASE: 2 shooters among 3 nabbed following encounter in Hansi

The Hansi police today arrested three criminals for their alleged involvement in murder case of JJP leader Ravinder Saini.
The arrested suspects had suffered bullet injuries during an encounter with the police near Umra village on the Hansi-Umra road in the district on Tuesday night.
Series of events
- July 10: JJP leader Ravinder Singh Saini shot dead.
- July 11: Vikas, who was in jail after being convicted in an attempt to murder case, was taken on a production warrant from jail. He is the ‘main conspirator’.
- July 15: Four other alleged conspirators — Praveen, Ravinder, Ramesh, and Praveen — were nabbed from Gujarat. They are in five days’ police remand.
- July 16: The Hansi police and STF arrested three persons, including two shooters, near Umra village after an encounter.
The suspects, identified as Yogesh of Kharak Jatan in Rohtak, Sachin of Jind and Vikas of Pinjokra village in Bhiwani district, are among the conspirators of the murder. Yogesh and Sachin are shooters. The suspects were shot in the legs and have been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Hansi.
With the arrest of these three suspects, the police have arrested eight persons case so far. Two other shooters are yet to be arrested.
Hansi SP Maqsood Ahmad said acting on a tip-off, the police had conducted search operations at night, and the suspects were found near Umra village on the Umra-Hansi road.
SP Ahmad said upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire while trying to flee the spot. The police team encircled them, directing them to surrender. However, when the suspects continued with the firing, the police also retaliated. He said the suspects got shot in the legs, following which they were admitted in a hospital.
