The 27th Haryana State Games were recently inaugurated at the Sports University of Haryana, Rai.
Vice-Chancellor Ashok Kumar, as the chief guest, formally declared the games open and addressed the athletes and officials present at the event.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed all net-ball and Judo players participating in the games, saying the state games were not merely a platform for competition, but also a celebration of discipline, dedication, teamwork, and national unity.
The Vice-Chancellor said such events not only helped athletes enhance their sporting skills but also played a crucial role in strengthening sporting culture across the state.
In the judo (men’s) games, Divesh clinched the gold medal in the under-90-kg weight category; Vikram in the under-100-kg category; and Aman Kumar the 100-plus-kg category.
In the women’s games, Bharti won the under-70-kg gold, Sheetal clinched the top spot in the under-78-kg category, and Tamanna won the 78-plus-kg category games.
Judo in-charge Hariom Kaushik and Registrar Jaswinder Singh were among the attendees of the event.
