Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Preeti has sought a detailed report from the police following allegations of assault on a Dalit woman inside the Siwan police station.

The issue surfaced after a group of villagers from Siwan submitted a formal complaint to the DC, claiming that a woman had been physically assaulted by police personnel, leaving her seriously injured.

Taking cognisance of the matter, the DC assured the delegation of swift and fair action.

“No injustice will be tolerated and all facts will be thoroughly examined before action is taken,” she said.

She also directed officials to ensure the woman is provided free legal assistance and all necessary support during the ongoing investigation.
