A student of BSc (medical IV semester), Saloni Bansal, RKSD College, Kaithal, has secured sixth position in the merit list of the results released by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.



Kaithal: A student of BSc (medical IV semester), Saloni Bansal, RKSD College, Kaithal, has secured sixth position in the merit list of the results released by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She secured 605 marks out of a total of 630 marks. Saloni had also secured seventh rank in the third semester. President Saket Mangal advocate and other officials sent congratulatory messages. On reaching the college, Principal Sanjay Goyal, Prof Sushil Gupta, Prof Gagan Mittal, Prof Shilpi Agrawal, Prof Ashok Kumar, Prof Shweta and other professors honored her.

Conference on electrical engineering

Faridabad: A two-day AICTE-sponsored international conference on 'Recent developments in electrical and electronics engineering' (ICRDEEE 2022) organised by JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, concluded here recently. The conference was convened by the department of electrical engineering of the university. Over 100 participants from different states attended the conference. Rabindra Nath Nayak, a former chairman and managing director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, and at present, CEO of Smartec and emerging control systems, was the chief guest. Vice-Chancellor ProfSK Tomar, Registrar Dr SK Garg and Dean FET Prof. ML Aggarwal was among those who attended programme.

Central varsity signs pact

Mahendragarh: The Central University of Haryana (CUH) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with United International University (UIU), Bangladesh, to carry out research jointly. CUH Vice-Chancellor Prof Tankeshwar Kumar said the objective of this partnership was to ensure that available resources of both universities were used together. Through this MoU, the facility of international study of students of both universities will be available and the options of study in both universities will be developed for the students. The two universities will also work together for various conferences, seminars and joint publications, he added..

INTACH celebrates world heritage day

Ambala: The Indian National Trust of Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Ambala, celebrated World Heritage Day at Arya Girls College, with participation of over 120 students from over 15 schools. Brig (retd) DK Khullar, AVSM, Padam Shri, Arjuna Awardee for climbing the Mt Everest in 1984, was the chief guest. He shared his experiences of mountaineering, and life in uniform. The Convenor, INTACH, Ambala, Col (retd) RD Singh, highlighted the major activities undertaken during the last year and informed that the Ambala chapter had won a number of awards, including The best chapter award in the country. Lord Mahavir School team reached the national finals in the Heritage quiz contest, and students from four schools won awards in short-film making. Earlier, students carried out a heritage rally on the staff road in front of Arya Girls College, displaying their school banners and heritage posters.
