Karan Chautala re-elected Haryana Volleyball Association president
The Haryana Volleyball Association held its elections at JCD Vidyapeeth on Tuesday during which INLD leader Abhay Chautala’s son Karan Chautala was unanimously re-elected as its president. Vijay Singh was appointed general secretary and Vikram Singh was made treasurer. The election, conducted without opposition, began with a welcome address by former general secretary Sube Singh. The process was overseen by Pratap Singh, former HCS officer, and monitored by Sunny Dhull, Observer from the Haryana Olympic Association. Prominent figures from the world of sports, including Arjuna Awardees Dalel Singh and Amir Singh, as well as international volleyball players Hanuman Singh and Narendra, attended the event. Officials from district volleyball associations across Haryana were also present. In his address, Karan expressed gratitude for the trust shown in him and pledged to take state volleyball to new heights both nationally and internationally. He emphasised teamwork and player dedication as key to achieving success and bringing pride to the state. Notably, Karan Chautala's father, Abhay Chautala, was also the president of the Haryana State Volleyball Association from 1991 to 2000.
