Karnal court restrains farmers from blocking Delhi-Ambala NH

Taking up a civil suit, Civil Judge Senior Division Harish Goel today restrained farmer leaders from disrupting public order and blocking the Delhi-Ambala NH during their protest here on September 7.

It also directed the Karnal DC and the SP to take all measures to ensure law and order if anyone tried to create inconvenience to the public.

The civil suit was filed by Karnal resident Randeep, who apprehended that farmer leaders may obstruct traffic on the NH-44, state highways and railway tracks, and disrupt the functioning in government offices.

The court restricted farmer leaders, including Gurnam Singh Charuni, Ajay Rana, Rattan Singh Mann, Kehar Singh Arya, Gurmukh Singh and Rampal Chahal, from blocking the National Highway-44 or any other road.

Besides, it restrained the leaders from resorting to violence during the protest.
