Karnal MC Commissioner directs XEN to ensure cleanliness in park
Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Dr Vaishali Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of Karna Park to assess cleanliness and maintenance. She reviewed the sanitationof the park and found lapses in some areas. She instructed the Executive Engineer (XEN) concerned to ensure proper upkeep.
The Commissioner emphasised the importance of maintaining greenery and keeping the park well-maintained. She also directed officials to conduct regular visits to monitor conditions.
Sharma further inspected the seating arrangements and instructed that damaged benches should be replaced immediately. She also reviewed the musical fountain and XEN said the cleaning work was in progress after draining out the water. The fountain is expected to be operational within two to three days. The Commissioner stressed that it should be completed at the earliest so that visitors could enjoy it.
During her visit, Sharma took action against miscreants who parked bikes inside the park premises. She immediately called the traffic police and the violators were fined. Additionally, several people were found playing cards in the park. They were warned and asked to leave the premises.
The Commissioner urged residents to treat parks as public spaces meant for recreation and relaxation. She appealed to them to maintain cleanliness by disposing of food wrappers and plastic waste in designated dustbins. Sharma called on citizens to support the Municipal Corporation in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of parks.
