Karnal police arrest 4 wanted gangsters

A Special Task Force unit of Karnal arrested four wanted gangsters and recovered six pistols, four magazines, 25 live cartridges and a car. The arrested persons have been identified as Deepak, a resident of Narwana in Jind, Puneet, a resident of Narwana, Jind, Puneet, a resident of Siwah of Panipat, Arun of Barwala in Hisar and Robin of Sarsawa of Saharanpur in UP, said Inspector Deepender Singh, incharge, STF, Karnal unit.

Acting on a tip-off, the STF team intercepted the gangsters near Chirao Mor on the Karnal-Kaithal road. The Sadar police have registered a case under Sections 111 (2) (B) of BNS and 25 (6)-54-59 of the Arms Act, he said, adding that the value of recovered arms was in lakhs in the international market.

He maintained that the arrested persons have a history of serious crimes, including murder, attempt to murder and the Arms Act. They were absconding in various cases across the state.
