Karnal Police issue fresh traffic advisory for commuters ahead of farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ march on Feb 13

Karnal police have issued a fresh traffic advisory for the commuters ahead of the farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ march on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police, Shashank Kumar Sawan said that for the convenience of the commuters, diversion of routes have been put in place.
As per the advisory, commuters travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh are advised to use the Shamli-Saharanpur route via Karnal-Manglora Meerut road instead of the Karnal-Chandigarh route.
Besides, drivers heading towards Yamunanagar are being diverted from Baldi bypass in Karnal to Indri-Ladwa and further to Yamunanagar.
Commuters travelling from Chandigarh can head towards Ladwa from Raipur-Bhadso and then to Yamunanagar, it said.
Similarly, small vehicles coming from Kurukshetra can head towards Ramba from Taraori and then proceed to Karnal and Panipat.
The SP said that the authorities were on high alert and appealed to the general public to refrain from unnecessary travel on February 12 and 13.
