Sarvjatiya Chaubisi Khap head Anil Rathi said Malik raised the voice of farmers, workers and labourers, remained connected with the common man and had the image of an honest leader.

"He got Article 370 abolished while serving as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. He should be honoured with the Bharat Ratna award in view of his contributions," claimed Rathi.
