Khattar lauds donors as 405 units of blood collected at Karnal camp

To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, a blood donation camp was organised on Wednesday at the district BJP office in Karna Kamal, as part of the nationwide Sewa Pakhwara campaign. Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, attended the event, praising the strong turnout of party workers and leaders and extended his greetings to PM Modi on his special day.

A large number of party workers and local citizens enthusiastically donated blood, with a total of 405 units collected. The initiative sought to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and provide support to those in need.

Addressing mediapersons, Union Minister Khattar said PM Modi’s birthday was being celebrated across the country. “From today, Sewa Pakhwara has been launched and will continue until October 2, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. As part of this campaign, blood donation camps, plantation drives under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative and cleanliness campaigns are being organised nationwide,” he said.

He added the campaign would also commemorate significant occasions, including the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25, and the birthdays of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2. Special cleaning drives would be conducted at religious sites ahead of upcoming festivals. Urging citizens to contribute, he appealed for their support to make the cleanliness campaign a success.
