Manohar Lal Khattar releases SDG District Index

The Haryana Government, along with Shoko Noda, Resident Representative of India, UNDP, India, and senior government officers, today released the SDG District Index 2022.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the Finance Department and Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SJHIFM)-Sustainable Development Goal Coordination Centre (SDGCC) for their efforts towards the development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) District Index 2022.

In her address, Noda, highlighted that the district index was the mainframe instrument to measure the progress of districts and provide inputs for evidence-driven action towards the attainment of SDGs, while instilling a tremendous spirit of competition among them.

Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning, TVSN Prasad, said the districts were the key movers on the SDG action agenda and had continued to make gains on various SDG targets.

As the nodal institutions of SDGs, NITI Aayog at the national level and Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management at the state level, have provided support to build collaborative momentum among districts.
