“Following the instructions, the joint teams carried out coordinated operation and rescued the girl safely from the Jhajjar area within some hours, arresting four suspects. The accused have been identified as Vikas and Monu of Khampura, Radheshyam of Meghot Binja, and Vikram of Mohanpur. The vehicle used in the abduction has also been impounded. The accused were produced before the court and were remanded to one-day police custody. Interrogation is underway,” he added.

As per the complaint filed by a resident, he, along with his niece and his brother’s daughter-in-law, had gone to Shani Temple in Khaspur on a motorcycle on November 1 evening. After offering prayers, while returning, they noticed a grey car without a number plate parked near the government school in Khaspur.

“The complainant informed that Vikas and Monu got out of the car. Vikas was holding an iron rod. They removed the key from his bike and began to assault him. Meanwhile, Monu forcibly dragged his niece into the car, and both fled the scene with her. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and began the investigation promptly. Later, the kidnapped girl was rescued,” said the spokesman.
