Kiran Chaudhary files her nomination for Rajya Sabha bypoll in Haryana

Chandigarh, August 21
Accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and some of his cabinet colleagues, Congress-turned-BJP leader Kiran Choudhry, filed her nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha, here today.
After filing her nomination papers, she expressed gratitude to the BJP for reposing faith in her. “In the vidhan sabha election, all my workers who have joined the BJP will work to strengthen the party,” she said.
Choudhry was also accompanied by her daughter, Shruti, who is also a former MP from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh seat.
CM Saini, addressing the media, said that the party cleared Choudhry’s name for the RS bypoll. “She has a lot of experience and the party will use that during the assembly election in the state. The party will benefit from her joining,” he said.
With no other candidate in the fray, she will be declared elected on August 27, the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
