Activists of the All-India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) on Sunday took out a march from the Rohad toll plaza on the Rohtak-Delhi highway to the Tikri border in protest against the alleged stubborn attitude of the Centre towards the farmers’ demands.

Addressing the protesters, AIKS vice-president Inderjit Singh said the determination of farmers supported by all sections of the society had foiled the nefarious designs of the Centre and completed six months successfully making it a historic movement of the world. The farmers would defeat the Centre and Covid, he claimed.

Sumit, acting secretary of the AIKS, called upon the gathering at Tikri to observe June 5 as “Kranti Diwas” by burning the copies of the three black laws. “The AIKS will take decision of further intensifying the farmers’ movement in the meeting of the state committee to be held in Hisar on 1 June,” he added.

Earlier, the protesters assembled at the Rohad toll plaza before leaving in a convoy of vehicles and took out the march up to the main stage at Tikri. — TNS
