Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said the Bhagavad Gita is not limited to any single religion but offers the art of living to all of humanity. He announced that on the occasion of Gita Jayanti on December 11, 5,000 devotees will perform the Gita path in Ujjain and Bhopal.

Speaking at the Sant Sammelan during the International Gita Mahotsav at Brahma Sarovar, Dr Yadav highlighted efforts by the Madhya Pradesh Government to implement Gita's teachings through the Gurukul tradition. "The teachings of the holy book are being integrated into the curriculum to help future generations embrace the country’s culture and values," he said.

Dr Yadav also shared plans for constructing Gita Bhawans in municipal corporations and municipalities across Madhya Pradesh, funded by a government-released budget. These will be accompanied by Town Halls in urban local bodies, aiming to foster societal transformation. He said, "A Krishna Path has been planned from Ujjain to Mathura, which will include the development of pilgrimage sites and a Krishna museum based on the 64 arts and 14 vidyas of Lord Krishna."

Expressing a wish for Madhya Pradesh to become a state partner for the International Gita Mahotsav, Dr Yadav underscored the universal relevance of the Gita, calling it "a wonderful book of Indian traditions" and encouraging every household to read it.

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria echoed these sentiments, emphasising the eternal relevance of the Gita's teachings. "The Gita provides solutions to all problems and must be imbibed by everyone," he said. The Governor praised Swami Gyananand for his role in elevating the Gita Mahotsav to an international level.

Both dignitaries visited the GIEO Gita Museum at Gita Gyan Sansthanam during the event. Dr Yadav also commented on the tension in Bangladesh, urging its government to protect Hindus and their religious places.

Honorary secretary of the Kurukshetra Development Board Upender Singhal, chairman of the 48-Kos Tirtha Monitoring Committee Madan Mohan Chhabra, and other officials were present at the event.

Meanwhile, district-level Gita Mahotsav celebrations have commenced in Kurukshetra and Ambala. In Kurukshetra, events are being held in Ladwa and Pehowa subdivisions. In Ambala, a three-day district-level Mahotsav and exhibition began at Rambagh Ground, where 30 stalls were set up by various departments and organisations.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ambala City Darshan Kumar inaugurated the exhibition, with City Magistrate Pooja Kumari, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ambala Puneet Kumar, and other officials in attendance.
