Yamunanagar, July 28
Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Wildlife and Sports Sanjay Surajpal Singh has said that the Kshatriya Rajput community has a glorious past. He said this community had made numerous sacrifices for the country.
Addressing a programme at the Kshatriya Rajput Dharamshala in Kapal Mochan of Yamunanagar district on Sunday, the minister said Rajputs held a place of pride in the Indian history. He said the warriors of this community never hesitated to sacrifice their lives to protect the country.
“Whole India is proud of their sacrifices. There are many small and big Rajput states in this land of heroes who have fought for the country’s independence,” said Sanjay Singh while attending the 24th foundation day programme at Kshatriya Rajput Dharamshala, Kapal Mochan, Bilaspur Road, as the chief guest.
Kartik Chauhan, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, was the special guest on the occasion. The minister also announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the construction of the main gate and langar hall of Kshatriya Rajput Dharamshala. He said the dharamshala had been constructed for all communities where people could organise functions like marriage free of cost.
