Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva has said India’s first President, Dr Rajendra Prasad, was a true national worker and educationist.
Sachdeva was speaking after paying tribute to Dr Prasad during a programme organised at the Arts Faculty Lawn on Friday to mark Dr Prasad’s death anniversary.
Sachdeva said, “Dr Prasad laid a strong foundation for the Indian democracy. He also laid the foundation stone of Kurukshetra University in 1956. Therefore, taking inspiration from his life, we should all work diligently and take the university to new heights in the field of education.”
KU Registrar Dr Virender Pal and Neelam Dhanda were among those present at the event.
