The vice-chairman of the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board, Dhuman Singh, said the Kurukshetra University would offer a course on the Saraswati River.

The curriculum of the course will be jointly prepared by a committee constituted by the board and the Centre of Excellence for Research on the Saraswati River, Kurukshetra University. Dhuman said: “We have held a discussion with the Vice Chancellor of KU. A proposal has been prepared and the course is proposed to be offered from academic year 2022-23.”

Vice Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva said: “It will be an open elective course about the history and relevance of the Sarasvati river offered by the Department of Geology. It will also be included as an activity base course from 2022.” —TNS
