KU to organise international conference on data science
The Department of Statistics and Operational Research, Kurukshetra University, will organise an international conference on “Innovative trends in statistics, optimisation, and data science” in conjunction with the 44th annual convention of Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS) and the eighth convention of the Indian Association for Reliability and Statistics.
The three-day international conference will be organised from December 21-23.
Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said, “International conference will be an effective platform to deliberate upon responsible AI, data centric AI, edge intelligence, automation of data cleaning, industry specific data applications, data privacy and other related topics.”
Conference convener Prof MS Kadyan and organising secretary Dr Jitender Kumar said that the conference would comprise 48 invited talk sessions and 20 plenary sessions in which renowned international speakers such as Prof Shyamala Krishna from South Africa, Prof AM Mathai, Prof Yogendra Prasad, Prof Saumen Mandal from Canada, Prof Nilesh Kumar from South Korea, Prof AK Verma from Norway, Prof Kunio Shimizu from Japan and Prof Shesh N Rai, Dr Deo Kumar, Prof MB Rao and Prof TES Raghavan from USA, Prof Milan Stehlik from Chile, Prof Ramakrishnan from UAE would share their expertise. The Deputy Director, Public Relations Department, KU, Dr Jimmy Sharma, said besides these technical and plenary sessions, endowment symposiums and best thesis award presentation events would be the key features of the three-day international conference.
