Kumari Selja writes to Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar over deaths of sanitation workers

Chandigarh, June 27

Member, Congress Working Committee (CWC) and former Union Minister Kumari Selja has written a letter to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressing concern over the deaths of sanitation workers in Haryana.

In the letter, she also raised the issue of two deaths during the cleaning of sewerage in Bahadurgarh on Sunday.

Selja said the incident of deaths of sanitation workers while cleaning of sewerage in Haryana was unfortunate.

“In the past few months, many workers had died while cleaning the sewerage. On Sunday too, two workers died in the industrial area of Bahadurgarh. In April too, four sanitation workers in Uklana and one each in Palwal and Panipat had died while cleaning the sewerage. The reason behind these incidents was lack of necessary resources,” she said.
