Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr SK Sahota said four more jaundice cases were reported on Friday, taking the total to 92. “Two more leaks were found in Sector 4. Lack of chlorination was observed. We informed the department concerned, following which chlorination was increased and leakages were being rectified,” he said.

He said his team had taken maps of sewerage and pipelines from the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran and the leaks were being tracked. “We are hopeful jaundice cases will start decreasing soon. Our teams have also been visiting nursing homes to get information about the patients,” he said.

Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata said leakages were being rectified. “A Whatsapp group of officials has been told to ensure leakages are rectified.”
