To curb criminal activities in the Ladwa area of Kurukshetra, the district police have formed a new crime investigation agency (CIA), Ladwa.
Kurukshetra SP Nitish Agarwal said the new unit of the CIA would help in further strengthening the law and order situation and curb criminal activities in the area.
“The purpose of forming the CIA, Ladwa, is to curb crime in the area and send criminals behind the bars as quickly as possible. The branch will play a vital role in controlling crime in the region. Residents of the Ladwa area had demanded the establishment of a special unit in the area, and the demand has been fulfilled. Two CIA units and an anti-narcotics cell were already operating in Kurukshetra district, and with the new CIA Ladwa unit, the number of special units have increased to four. This will expedite the police investigation process and ensure timely action,” he added.
The Superintendent of Police appealed to the local citizens to cooperate with the CIA unit and immediately report any suspicious activity. He stated that effective control of crime was possible only through mutual trust and cooperation between the police and the public. He further said, “The establishment of the CIA in Ladwa is certainly a positive step that will not only help prevent crime but also instill a sense of security among the public.” A Kurukshetra police spokesman said Sub Inspector Jasbir Singh had been appointed as the first in-charge of the CIA, Ladwa. Earlier, he was a part of the CIA-1 unit. He possesses a deep understanding of the region’s geographical location and criminal networks, which will be instrumental in apprehending criminals.
