After inspecting the sites, Saini visited the stalls set up by various countries at the International Gita Mahotsav, where foreign traders and guests welcomed him.

Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Guru Tegh Bahadur made a great sacrifice for the protection of humanity, religion and the country, which is necessary to convey to every person in society, so that the coming generations can learn from this inspiring history.”

He added that the Haryana Government, along with the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, is commemorating the 350th martyrdom year of the Guru “in a grand manner across the state.”

The Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, developed under the Centre’s Swadesh Darshan scheme, offers visitors an immersive experience themed on the epic. Within the complex stands the newly built Panchjanya Memorial, honouring Lord Krishna’s divine conch, symbolising righteousness and truth. The towering conch weighs around 5 to 5.5 tonnes and stands 4 to 5 metres tall.

In view of the PM’s visit, traffic has been rerouted on alternative roads and a heavy security cover has been deployed across the city.
