Labour supervisor crushed under grader machine
Gurugram, August 24
A labour supervisor was crushed to death under a grader machine while inspecting the construction work on the Delhi-Jaipur highway near Bilaspur village in the Pataudi subdivision of Gurugram on Saturday.
The grader machine was working on the road for creating a flat surface to place asphalt when the incident occurred, a local police official said.
The deceased was identified as Mahesh Kumar. The local police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
The police official said a case of negligence was registered against the operator/driver of the grader machine on the complaint of Gajendra Kant, the brother of the deceased.
Gajendra Kant told the police that his brother Mahesh worked as a labour supervisor at the Winner Construction Company, Karol Bagh in Delhi. He (Mahesh) was working on road from the Khedki Daula to the Shahjahanpur border on the Delhi-Jaipur highway when the tragic incident claimed his life.
He alleged that it was due to the negligence of the operator of the grader machine that his brother came under its grip and died on the spot.
