Karnal: The Commerce Association of Dyal Singh College organised an extension lecture on ‘Career Avenues for Commerce Graduates’ on the college premises. Dr Mukta Jain, head of the Commerce Department, said Atul Gupta, director, TIME institute, Karnal, was the resource person. Gupta told the students about the emerging career trends. Dr Pooja Malhotra, president, Commerce Association, urged the students to enhance their knowledge regarding the career avenues. The lecture covered the higher education options in India and abroad, various government exams, entrepreneurship and start-ups.

Rohtak: A seminar on international education was organised under the aegis of Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Maharshi Dayanand University recently. The seminar was addressed by a team of experts from IDP Education India, who apprised students of various options for studying abroad. Experts informed the students about the application process, visa requirements, financial aid options and employment opportunities in the UK, USA, Ireland and Australia.

IGN College student wins silver

Kurukshetra: Tapasya, a BA first-year student at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, won the silver medal in the 57 kg weight category at the Senior National Wrestling Competition organised by Indian Railways in Jaipur recently. The college principal, Dr Kushal Pal, said it was a matter of pride for the college as well as the state.
