Light to moderate rain lashes state

Intermittent showers lashed many parts of Haryana again on Sunday with the weather remaining cloudy throughout the day.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that, over the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in Haryana, with isolated thunderstorms reported as well.

The average maximum temperature rose by 0.6°C compared to Saturday, though it remain near normal. The highest maximum temperature, of 35.1°C, was recorded at Palwal. Ambala recorded a maximum of 33.3°C, with rainfall of 12.1 mm, while Hisar registered a maximum of 33.6°C, with 14.6-mm rainfall.Sirsa registered 49.5-mm rain, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C.

According to a short-range forecast issued by the Agricultural Meteorology Department of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, and the India Meteorological Department, thunderstorm and lightning with moderate rain are very likely over parts of Nuh, Palwal, Faridabad, Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Hisar, and Kaithal.
