Loan recovery officer murdered

The police have booked five persons, including a woman, for looting and murdering a loan recovery officer here.

The deceased was identified as Aslam (27) of Sabit Nagar in Nekpur village of Ghaziabad district. He was working as loan recovery officer in Bandhan Bank in Model Town.

On Wednesday, Aslam’s burnt body was found near a drain on the Kutani road. He was missing for four days.

On December 23, he went to collect loan recovery amount from a woman but didn’t return. The bank manager lodged a missing complaint and started searching Aslam.

Later, the police detained a woman, Sunita, of Bharat Nagar.

A case has been registered under Sections 396, 302, 201 and 34 against the five accused. Sunita had been arrested while the four others are on the run.
