Panipat, January 24

Congress general secretary Kumari Selja today claimed that the BJP was scared of the rising popularity of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and was creating obstacles, but the yatra would not stop.

Addressing gatherings during the Jan Sandesh Yatra, which entered Panipat today, she said the yatra covered all four Assembly constituencies of Samalkha, Israna, Panipat Urban and Panipat Rural in a day.

She, along Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Choudhary, sat on tractors and organised a rally from New Grain Market at Samalkha to Gandhi Adarsh College.

Taking a dig at the BJP, she said Lord Ram belonged to all and no one needed a certificate of the BJP and the RSS to chant the name of Lord Ram.

Surjewala said farmers needed MSP, and justice. The rights of backward class people were being snatched, he claimed. Kiran Choudhary pulled up the government over rising inflation.
