The decision of the government to allow students of Class I to III from October 1 is wrong and unjustified. As students of these classes are two young and will not be able to follow the SOP guidelines of Covid-19, their life could be at risk in a case of an outbreak again in form of Third wave for which the authorities and the government was itself issuing a warning that the threat of Covid was not yet over, despite the decrease in number of cases. The government should not succumb to pressure without considering the risk to the health of schoolchildren.
