The celebration was attended by former Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Sirsa MLA Gokul Setia, Congress leader Naveen Kedia, and others who paid tribute by garlanding the statue.

Sitaram Jamalia, Trustee of the Trust, highlighted Maharaja Agrasen’s legacy as a great supporter of socialism, equality, and non-violence. Known as the king of Agroha, Agrasen introduced the concept of “one brick and one rupee,” which helped many people build their homes and businesses. He also initiated welfare programmes such as free education, hospitals, and community centres for the needy. His rule focused mainly on social welfare rather than wars, making him a respected and kind ruler even today.
