According to the police, the main suspect has been identified as Avinash, a native of Faridabad who lived in Gandhi Nagar, Gurugram; and his accomplice has been identified as Ashu, alias Sohil, a Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh) native who lived in Shivji Park, Gurugram.

A senior police officer said the police were questioning the suspects, who were set to be produced before a city court on Thursday.

The 14-year-old victim was allegedly raped by Avinash after he called her to a guest house through his friend Anshu, alias Sohil, on the pretext of celebrating his birthday.

When she confided in her mother, her mother reached out to the police. In this regard, an FIR was registered at the Shivaji Nagar police station on Monday.
